Original Sprout was founded in 2003, the brainchild of renowned Californian hairstylist and new mum Inga Tritt. The inspiration behind the business was to find gentle but effective products to use on her daughter’s sensitive skin.

All Original Sprout products are made with safe ingredients and are vegan and cruelty-free.

Choosing products for sensitive skin can be difficult at any age, but particularly for newborns. Although Original Sprout products are suitable for the whole family, the gentle formulations are carefully crafted to nourish and protect the most delicate skin.
- We choose natural ingredients
A look through our ingredients lists will show many extracts that you’ll recognise: rosemary, calendula, almond, arnica and more. We’ve harnessed the power of plants to create mild products that families love.
- We noticed that parents loved our products too and expanded our range
It kept happening – parents would buy a product for their children and then find themselves using it as well. We listened, and now you can buy many of our products in family-sized refill bottles as well.
- We offer great value toiletries for the whole family
Babies provided the inspiration, but as Original Sprout has grown, so has the range of products on offer. We have a wide range of hair styling products for the whole family, including Miracle Detangler for all hair types (an absolute saviour after swimming!) and Classic Styling Balm to keep your style in place all day.
- We do great gifts for grown-ups
We’ve packaged some of our favourite products together as kits that make wonderful gifts. Our Colour Retention Kit contains everything you need to keep your hair colour feeling fresh, powered by rich tree nut oils. The Cradle Cap Kit is a godsend for new parents who want to treat their newborn’s scalp gently and effectively.
- We use planet-friendly packaging
All of our bottles and tubes are made from #2 FDA phthalate-free regulated plastic and are recyclable. We also use recyclable shipping boxes as well.
